A New Routing Scheme Based on the Terminal Mobility in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks

چکیده
Ab8tmct-A mobile ad-hoc network is composed of only mobile nodes, which are distributed dynamically, without any wired backbone or centralized entities. Each terminal in the mobile ad-hoc network also has the role of the router, but the frequent changes of the terminal positions induce the waste of time, energy and computing power for updating the routing table with the paging, and also may provoke a call dropping. To overcome this problem, we propose a new routing scheme based on the terminal mobility in mobile ad-hoc networks in this paper. In the proposed scheme, terminals are classified into the low-mobility terminals and the high-mobility terminals. To prevent the frequent update of routing table, only the lowmobility terminal can be the one of routing terminal in the proposed scheme. The performances of the proposed scheme and conventional scheme are simulated. The numerical results show that the mean call dropping time in the proposed scheme are much lower than that in the other conventional schemes. Because of this advantage, many researches and d e velopments on mobile ad-hoc networks are in progress by various groups such &s the IETF MANET WG and the Bluetooth Consortium. Because a mobile ad-hoc network is a multi-hop wireless network in which mobile hosts communicate over a shared and limited radio channel, a mobile adhoc network is characterized by the lack of a wired backbone or centrabed entities. Thus, in ad-hoc networks, we need more sophisticated distributed algorithms to perform these functions of coordination[l]. Since all communications between all network elements are carried within limited resources, we have many constraints on the efficient network management for mobile ad-hoc networks; e.g. conservation of wireless spectrum and reduction in transmission power. Thus, for communication between two entities in ad-hoc network, we have to apply multi-hop routing to be relayed through intermediate nodes. In addition, since the network topology is changed rapidly in ad-

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) are constructed by mobile nodes without access point. Since MANET has certain constraints, including power shortages, an unstable wireless environment and node mobility, more power-efficient and reliable routing protocols are needed. The OLSR protocol is an optimization of the classical link state algorithm. OLSR introduces an interesting concept, the multipoint r...
